Should this tension break...

Tuesday is a big day - like Christmas day, when you get to finally unwrap that huge present under the tree and see what you got. It's a tension-breaking day.

But I don't think the tension should necessarily break, nor should the feathers that have been ruffled settle. Because no matter which candidate we will unwrap, he will just turn and point to the other presents piled 'neath the branches and say, "See those? Those boxes hold some shitty gifts. We ain't done yet."

Elections are crappy. They're mean. People turn into monsters. But on the flip-side, they drive us to do our homework, and to think.

Here's a good article from the NY Times - you should read it. It's brief, and it ends with the words: "Your kids will thank you."
