My Plant Babies

Though a little late in the spring, I finally had time to make my plant babies today! This is my amateur foray into gardening from the seed, hopefully to make a lovely contribution to the back-porch garden that my neighbor beautifully cultivates. Maybe one day I'll be good enough to plant a whole garden, when I have a front and/or backyard!

I bought two little greenhouses, and I planted some Cosmos and Marigolds, as well as basil, sage, and lemon-balm. I had a fresh-herb pot last summer and loved it, so I can't wait for them to seed so I can transfer them outside. Memorial Day is coming up, which in Chicago means that the winter nasties are safely over and plants can make their move to sunshine.
